As Java Developer, you will part of the biggest team of Java consultants in Belgium(100 persons) that implements customized Java solutions at major clients such as the Federal Government, DHL, Belfius, Eandis & Mazda. Function The division ‘Competence Centers’ focuses on implementation of innovative solutions based on a specific technology. As Java developer, you will be part of the biggest team of 100 Java colleagues in Belgium delivering short & long-term projects (3 months till more than 1 year) at clients (80% of the time Brussels based) in need of strong Java expertise. The role’s typical responsibilities are the following: – You will focus on the delivery of innovative customized Java solutions – You will draw up a plan for each solution in cooperation with the Project Manager and the client’s Project Lead – You will closely work with your colleagues at the client or at our offices. – You will take initiatives to encourage teamwork – You will act as a bridge between the compayne and the client to ensure smooth mutual communication and cooperation. – You will gather feedback and you will assure the quality of the implementation – You will be part of the biggest Java community in Belgium and will be reporting directly to the Unit Manager Competence Centers. Profile This role has great visibility and impact, both internally and externally. We are therefore looking for a candidate with extensive expertise in Java technology (Hibernate, JPA, Spring, Webservices , Libraries, …)! – You are interested in coaching and you understand the art of being assertive, firm and diplomatic at the same time. – You have a great affinity with or a wide interest in the many aspects of ICT and you are up to date on the new innovations in the market.
